FMG Pit 54 Civil Works

The project involved extensive civil and earthworks for the installation of a new Heavy Vehicle (HV) crossing, including excavation for a 1 m wide, 65 m long CSP culvert. Works included the construction of a rupture disk discharge pond, with approximately 200 m³ excavated at the upstream location, as well as profiling to accommodate the pipeline alignment to and from the new HV crossing. Earthworks comprised 1,100 m³ of cut and 700 m³ of general fill, with 350 m³ of cement stabilised fill installed within the trench. Additionally, excavation was carried out for a minor access corridor parallel to the new pipeline to support construction activities.
